Processing capacity is the quantity of materials that can be processed per hour. In addition to the configuration and structure of the color sorter recognition system, another important factor affecting the processing capacity is the specification. At the same time, the treatment capacity is closely related to the variety of raw materials, the proportion of impurities and the required selection accuracy.

Selection rate refers to the percentage of impurities selected from the raw grain in the total impurities contained, also known as color selection accuracy. The factors that affect the selection rate are mainly the flow rate and the type of color sorter, that is, the performance.


Generally speaking, the CCD mode is higher than the silicon photocell mode, and the check structure is better than the single choice structure. The selection rate of the color sorter equipped with CCD sensor technology can reach more than 99%, but it is difficult for the ordinary color sorter equipped with traditional sensor to reach the calibration index in the actual production. In addition, the selection rate is also affected by the ratio.

Take out ratio refers to the ratio of the amount of impurities in the waste selected by the color sorter to the normal rice or wheat grains. The ratio can be set, generally around 1:3 ~ 1:5. If the ratio is too high, it will affect the selection rate and processing capacity. If the ratio is too low, it will cause waste. If it is reprocessed, it needs to invest a certain amount of human and material resources, which will cause a lot of trouble and economic loss.

3、 Problems in the application of ore color separator

In order to cope with the market changes, the development of color sorter in China is also constantly forging ahead. Various enterprises have carried out extensive and continuous research on color sorter. From the beginning of photoelectric (Analog) technology, the application of CCD (digital) technology, to the research and application of intelligent color sorter cloud technology and Internet of things technology, color sorter technology and application has been constantly updated.

In the application of the ore color separator, the performance may be unstable, which requires frequent maintenance and re debugging. Most of these problems are caused by the low stability of the optical system composed of the light source, background and imaging system of the color separator, especially on the equipment with simple optical system.
